Often we need to be reminded that we can learn from the past, and we can celebrate it, but we cannot change it. We are where we are today. But we can make decisions to change our path going forward. Keeping this perspective is difficult, especially when you're dealing with tough times.

It's also nice to be reminded that you can prepare for those hard moments. And when you do, the tough times might not turn out as bad as they could have.

I frequently look at the images below to give myself these reminders. These are great visuals for motivation and perspective, and cover almost any situation you find yourself in.

A nice reminder about why it's important to not put off creating your Estate Map.

Legacy Planning

What kind of map is best to prepare before you enter the woods of estate settlement? The Estate Map. This spreadsheet guides your family to the important areas they will need to know about. It is a private document where you can record as much vital information as you want, and it gives those you share it with the direction they need to reduce the stress after a loss.

The Estate Map isn't something you fill out alone from a download. I walk you through it directly, in a Personal Planning Session, so you're not guessing at what to capture or why it matters.

If you're not ready for that yet, start with the free guide covering what most families miss, even when a plan already exists. Get the free guide here, and it's yours right away.
